Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have Cll with TP53 mutation l have recently been in hospital with gastroenteritis for four days and when I came out my right foot and ankle were swollen and painful but l did not mention it to the nurse . Three days later and it is still swollen and quite hot . Is this normal or do I need to see a doctor?
It could be cellulitis or a sprain. As of now you can use analgesics/anti-inflammatory combination like aceclofenac/serratiopeptidase for symptomatic relief. You can also apply ice packs for faster recovery. A short course or antibiotics can be tried empirically. If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
