My husband is taking Prednisone for a week; severe allergies making his Asthma much worse. He s having some side effects that seem a bit concerning: swelling of legs and feet; joint pain in ankles, knees, and hips. He has a few more days left on it, decreasing the dosage every few days. It has definitely helped his breathing, but we are concerned about the side effects. Had hoped as he lowered the dosage they would get better, or disappear. That isn t happening. The joint pain seems to be getting worse. Considering not finishing it. Would appreciate any advice you could give us. Prescribing Physician is out of the office until Thursday.
