What Causes Swelling And Pain In The Knees?
I hurt my knee/leg last night, the knee is swollen, but not sore ... the pain goes down the muscle on the outside of the shin, and it is a very bad pain, making it hard to walk. I ve never had this type of pain before, why would the pain go down the muscle on the outside of my leg?

Hi,
You can have associated muscle tear surrounding knee joint. So pain around knee joint and down leg also present.
For knee joint pain I suggest you investigate with digital knee joint X-ray. If needed MRI also planned to look for any cruciate ligament or meniscus injury if present.
