What Causes Swelling And Pain In The Lower Back?

I m 20 years old and last week started have low back pain. My family member looked and said it seemed to appear swollen and slightly bruised around my lumbar area. Over the weekend the pain got worse and and skin is also very sensitive to the touch. When I went to the doctor s yesterday he had me attempt to stretch different ways and said he was 95% sure it was muscular, but he never examined my back. I m just wondering how long I should wait to go back, the pain and skin sensitivity has moved upward I my spine today.

Consult an orthopedician and plan for an MRI scan it could be due to spine related problems like prolapsed intervertebral disc.
