What Causes Swelling And Pain In The Scrotum On The Right Side?

My right epidimys is larger than the left and I feel little weird since the time I have been checking it. Like a slight pain on my right side of scrotum. I might be paranoid but wanted to understand more about the possibilities. Please let me know. I am really worried. Thanks Kevin

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms are more consistent with conditions like epididymo-orchitis. It is nothing but an inflammation/infection of epididymis and testes.

We have to rule out have to rule out other possibilities like varicocele.

Consult a urologist and plan for an ultrasound scrotum to confirm the diagnosis.

Nothing much to worry as both the conditions are harmless and easily curable.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
