What Causes Swelling And Pain In The Shoulder After An Injury?
I tripped in my bedroom about 3 to 4 weeks ago and I hit my right shoulder on the base of my bed before I hit the floor. My shoulder and upper arm hurts worst when I lie down, lay on my right side, lift my arm up just slightly. There is a bit of swelling and over all hurts when I move. What type of injury do I have?

You should have done an X-ray of the shoulder at the moment of the fall to see for fracture and contusions.
The trauma of soft tissues should have gotten better in three weeks. You should go for an X-ray now and see what may be the cause of the swelling.
