General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Because both you and your boyfriend are having tinny white bumps on red skin and these lesions are painful, this is very likely a genital herpes infection. Oral acyclovir is needed for both of you.

You will both need to be tested for herpes infection and probably other infections as well such as chlamydia, gonorrhea, HIV, syphilis, Hepatitis B, etc.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj,
