What Causes Swelling And Pain In Vagina?

I have had swelling in my vagina for the past 5-6 days and it's very painful. I went to a doctor and she said everything looks fine; however, I had taken 2 Advil prior to the appointment so swelling may have gone down. She also took swabs which turned out to be negative for a yeast infection and bacterial vaginosis. So what now? It's really painful and is not getting better.
