What Causes Swelling And Pain On Left Side Of The Body?

I have a swelling on my left side which appeared suddenly and with pain. The pain has gone but not the swelling. An ultrasound shows devarication of the muscle tissue around my core wth thinning on the left side only. What can I do about it. Also I am concerned that my Statin medication could be the cause.
