What Causes Swelling And Pain On The Tailbone After An Injury?

Fell last Friday & have big bruise halfway down back to tailbone, width of back at waist. Swelling now on side from hip to lower rib, very painful to touch, & can barely Zip up pantS. Feels like excessive gas just there, & hungry but a bit nauseous. Also hot & cold...

I can understand your concern.
You had blunt trauma due to fall.
Your current symptoms are mostly due to that fall.
Yoi might have injured back (muscles, vertebra and spinal cord) and abdomen by that fall.
So better to consult doctor and get done clinical examination, ultrasound examination of abdomen and x ray of lumbosecral spine to rule out injury.
If all these are normal then possibility of simple musculoskeletal injury is more.
So apply warm water pad on affected areas. Avoid movements causing pain. Avoid bad postures in sleep. Avoid heavyweight lifting and strenuous exercise. Take painkiller and muscle relaxant drug.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these but first rule out internal injury.
