What Causes Swelling And Purple Rashes On The Feet?

Hi, my question is regarding my 57 yr old sister. Since Dec.she has had swelling of both feet. Her left gets purple splotches, at times both right and left. Its worse at night. She stays hydrated through out day has good eating habits. She weighs about 210, 5 8-5 9ft, not physically active other than her employment 5dys a wk, 5-6 hrs each work night. Her feet are swollen at end of each shift. Even before she started working, they swelled more at night. She doesn t want to go to hospital stating it will be fine. I m wanting to tell her something to scare her enough into going.. Please help me

This type of swelling indicates a problem with heart or kidneys not functioning properly or insufficiency.

You should go to the hospital for further evaluation to determine exactly the cause of it and ways of treatment.
