Hello,

Swelling in the ankles is commonly due to chronic venous insufficiency, arthritis, gout. Sometimes, it is also indicative of heart disease or kidney disease. The purple spots in the legs are a sign of circulation problem. When circulation is affected cuts and injury take a longer time to heal. You are suggested to keep your feet elevated on a stool while sitting or on a pillow while on bed to prevent water retention and help better circulation.

Limit the salt intake in your diet and avoid taking salty snacks. Stay active but do not over strain yourself. Avoid staying sedentary. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP, get blood workouts and urinalysis done to detect arteritis, gout, etc. Your treating doctor may recommend a test called a vascular or duplex ultrasound to examine the blood circulation in your legs. You will be treated accordingly.

In the meantime, you can use compression stockings to improve blood flow and reduce swelling. You can apply ointment Thrombophob on the area affected by purple spots. It will help to disperse the blood clots if any. Your treating doctor will treat you with a combination of medicines and endogenous laser ablation or radiofrequency ablation (RFA), sclerotherapy or surgery whatever is best for you.

Wear comfortable pair of shoes. Take balanced diet. Avoid eating red meat for a couple of days. Take fishes and lean meat, whole cereals with plenty of fruits and vegetables. Stay away from addictions if any. You are very young; proper diet, exercise and medicines should effectively help to reduce your symptoms.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
