What Causes Swelling And Radiating Pain In The Right Hand?

im a 53 yo female my rt hand is has weakness, numbness in middle and first digit pain in the palm in center at times radiating to elbow tried brace but the swelling caused more pain so i removed...what could this be? i had exray but showed nothing i have joint pain in left hand left knee swells and pain with popping rt hip pain and several other joints.

So, it is probably not the bones. Other structures are the skin (cellulitis, a skin infection is quite common, BUT, obviously would look infected) and I cannot think of any skin inflammation that isn't immediately apparent as to the source. That leaves the joints. Gout, variations of gout or infection cause severe localized hot inflammation of joints. There are a lot of causes of joint infection including LYME. Wear and tear also cause swelling, decreased ability to move it without pain, but less hot and red.
