What Causes Swelling And Redness Along With Pain In Buttocks?
My 9 year old son has had pain in his lower buttock, where the cheek meets the thigh for 3 days. He had a fever at first but has been ok for two days. We thought it was due to chaffing or rash but can t see any sign of rash. After examining just now, it appears his right inner/lower buttock is swollen and red, extremely painful to the touch. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

it can be a boil coming up. apply warm phomantation. observe it onsubse Quent days the swelling will increase and rise of local temperature. it can be diagnosed by local palpation.
