What Causes Swelling And Redness In Eyes?

My eyes were fine before i went to the optamologist for an eye check upon thursday and some drops were put in my eye for him to look at my eyes. I was given the all clear. The next day i started havin a bad headache body aches, and flu. I also noticed my eyes became sticky red and swollen. I have been cleaning my eyes with warm water as yellowish discharge come out of both eyes. I have sofradex at home but can i use it. Do i have bacterial conjuctivitis? I am 39ys and 5ft7 62kg I normally dont have conjuctivitis but im sure the drops put in by the optamologist (I wear glasses as im long sighted) must have triggered it
