What Causes Swelling And Redness In The Eye Along With Irritation?

My father s eye is swollen, bloodshot red, and irritating him. He has been prescribed multiple antibiotics but they don t seem to work. This happened months ago and was treated but it came back 10 times worse. I think that it is a corneal abrasion that wasn t treated properly. I believe it has caused an infection maybe a corneal ulcer or Acanthamoeba? I really need help. What do you think the problem is ?

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

You should check his blood pressure as high blood pressure is the commonest cause of eye bleed. If it comes normal then consult a Ophthalmologist for proper physical evaluation of the eye. And just in case your father takes blood thinner medicines then stop the immediately.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhanu Partap, Cardiologist
