What Causes Swelling And Redness Inside The Bottom Eyelid?

I'm looking for any advise. I feel basically like I'm stoned all the time. Like the world around me isn't really happening. Along with this, I'm experiencing lots of dizzy spells, and I am tired all the time. My inside bottom eyelids are also red and swollen. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it, but thought it was worth mentioning. I've had an MRI, and been on several different depression medications, none which helped. I'm currently on xanax, which I think is the only thing that gets me through the day. This has been going on for more than 8 months. I just want to figure out what's wrong with me so I can fix it! Any suggestions on where to go from here? My doctor seems to think it is all in my head... Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!
