General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Swelling and sensitivity of clitoris may be due to rough sex, dryness, lack of lubrication during foreplay, etc. Avoid wearing rough clothes, wear soft cotton clothes, avoid latex, be careful of the type of creams & lotions you are using.

Cold wet compress will help, apply soframycin or Neosprin ointment on the area affected. Oral antihistamine will help in case its due to allergy.

In case of pain, take acetaminophen, one SOS when needed. Always use lubricants for foreplay. Take vitamin E (Evion -400), one daily for 20 days to avoid dryness. Avoid sex for a couple of days.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
