What Causes Swelling And Soreness In Perineum While On Treatment For Type 1 Herpes?
Hi, I ve been diagnosed with type 1 herpes... Currently on medication and recovering. However, my perineum is swollen, and sore. It hurts to pass stools and when I do, there s a lot of blood. Is it part of the herpes, or a different thing all together?

As you explain the situation it's hard for me to say exactly what might be. I don't think it might be only from the heroes infection. Probably you need to do an ultrasound of the perineum. Just talk with your treating doctor.
