What Causes Swelling And Tenderness In Wrist And Fever And Chills?

I am an iv drug user. Heroin and meth I inject daily, about a week ago I couldn t find a vein, so I tried my wrist vein (I don t muscle inject, never have) but couldn t draw any blood so I moved on. So I did not miss the vein, didn t even shoot anything in. I have progressively worsening symptoms ; fever, chills, achy flu-ish feeling, and my wrist is very swollen abd tender. There is no external wound. Should I go to the emergency room?

symptoms like fever ,chills ,sweeling and tenderness suggestive of infective pathology like abcess . we imperically prescribe broad spectrum antibiotics and advise routine blood investigation to rule out other pathology .
