What Causes Swelling Around Penis While On Medication For Herpes?

Hello, I was tested last week for STD s, herpes and HIV came back negative. I have all the symptoms of herpes even with negative results. My doctor gave me meds for herpes because it appears to be that. It s been 11hrs and I ve taken two pill and I m swelling extremely bad on my penis and areas around it. Should I go to E.R. Or wait until morning to see if meds start working?

Hi.

The medications are to treat the very symptoms of herpes which is what you are experiencing so wait for another 2-3 days and if things get beyond tolerance then report to the ER, stay patient and avoid any all friction to the region.
