I had ankle surgery in December of last year, and have been recovering; however, I have been having trouble with my range of motion due to scar tissue build up & swelling. My doctor recommend a cortizone shot in & around the scar tissue to help breakdown the fiberous scar tissue, except when she gave me the shot, I got this searing pain in my ankle across the top of my foot down through my two toes next to my big toe. I asked her if she hit a nerve, but my doctor said she thought the nerve may have been entwined in the scar tissue. Now, I have been experiencing more pain ever since. The swelling went down, but instead of just a general pain in my ankle & foot, I seem to be having more pain specifically down through to my two toes like when I first got the shot.Does this sound normal? What do you think happened?
