What Causes Swelling Around The Eye After An Injury?

Hello, During pe class my forehead (just above my brows) was hit by one of the classmate s elbow. It caused a 3 cm cut. Right now (2 days after the stitching) i can feel part of my face around my eye swelling though it is not overall very visible. Is this normal?

Hi,
It seems that there might be having some induration due to tissue damage and some collection of blood producing some swelling under the stitch.
Nothing to worry, after stitches healed up it will be alright.
Go for one course of antibiotic if any doubt about local infection.
Ok and take care.
