What Causes Swelling Around The Incisions With Foul Odor Post Circumcision?

Hi doc I am a 21 year old male who circumcised monday the 6th of september, I have been seeing swelling around my incisions, I have seen some pasty substance from the bottom stitches especially during my salt baths...I was the wound twice with salt and twice with hygienic soap but I still experience some odour...I do not know if this is an infection problem or inadequate hygiene from my side please assist

Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. There can be some slight swelling on sutured area for some time. Pasty substance on bottom can be most likely from absorption of stitches. It will disappear after some time. Keep the area clean and apply betadine or neosporin ointment . But if the swelling is more and associated with pain or bad odor then it can be due to infection and such case it should be inspected by your surgeon. Further antibiotics might e required in such case also.
