What Causes Swelling Around The Nose And Blurred Vision After An Injury?
Hello, I am a male 35 years old 165lbs good health. I wear dentures and 4 days ago experience a fall which caused trauma to my mouth that caused my denture to cut under my tounge which has developed a white and yellow discoloration around the areas of broken skin. On day 2.5 I started experiencing swelling and pain and numbness of my lips (there are what look like liquid filled blister/pinmples on the out side of the bottom lip extinding down about 2 inchs and the skin is very red) and mouth soreness. I am also experiencing what I can only explain as swelling my nasal area. And now have blurred vision that is progressing fairly fast over the last 30 hrs. Can you tell me what it going on pleasel

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of swelling around the nose and blurred vision along with tingling and numbness of lips which seems to be due to nerve impingement during trauma which is supplying the facial area. Don't panic about it. I would suggest you to start low dose steroid immediately. Consult oral physician for proper diagnosis and to find out exact cause and start treatment accordingly. For now give gentle massage to your lips with olive oil or almond oil. Visit neurologist as well once to get complete examination.
