What Causes Swelling Between The Nose And Corner Of My Right Eye?

Every few months, I have a sudden swelling that occurs between the bridge of my nose and the area just above the inner corner of my eye. Preceding that, I can get watery and somewhat itchy. In several days, it goes away. Always my right eye. No redness or anything visually wrong with the eye itself. But the swelling occurs rapidly.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem ti be related to sinusitis. I suggest to do a sinus X-ray to confirm the diagnosis. Meanwhile,I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the inflammation and swelling. I also suggest using saline nasal spray for local application at the nasal area.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
