What Causes Swelling From The Knees To The Ankles?

My husband has flu like symptoms after he told me he received a bug bite of some sort, his leg is swollen from the knée down to the ankle which is the site of the bite, there is also redness , some warmth and painful, I suspect he s having a reaction to the bite, suggestions ?

I have gone through the description above.
if the leg is swollen and red it indicated that the pt might have developed the condition called cellulitis. it's the infection of soft tissues sKim and the layers below
for which pt needs antibiotics anti inflamatory and analgesics.
