What Causes Swelling In Ankle And Back After Prednisolone Withdrawal?

Been tapering prednisalone for p.m.r which I believe to be fibromyalgia. And rheumatoid arthritis,, specialist wants me off steroid ad u/I have been on it 6months,, pain and ankle swelling back today on 2 1/2. So had to take another 2 1/2 to get home,, is the steroids helping the p,m,r

The swelling ankle indicates possible fluid retention most likely rather than withdrawal effects of steroid. However, detailed physical examination, series of lab reports are mandatory to find out the cause and guide accordingly.
