What Causes Swelling In Ankle And Back After Prednisolone Withdrawal?

Been tapering prednisalone for p.m.r which I believe to be fibromyalgia. And rheumatoid arthritis,, specialist wants me off steroid ad u/I have been on it 6months,, pain and ankle swelling back today on 2 1/2. So had to take another 2 1/2 to get home,, is the steroids helping the p,m,r
