What Causes Swelling In Ankle While Standing?

hi when i stand my legs swell as far as the ankle, also my right leg twitches almost like a spasm and buckles and my right leg feels weak with it i am in general good health, doctors told me the main valve in my legs is worn so swelling caused wheni stand, i am 36 ,female, the main problem is the difficulty walking i am experiencing
