What Causes Swelling In Ankle With Pain In Shin Area?
I am 61 years old . male . I suffered a severe contusion to my right shin 4 inches below the knee 11 days ago.
There was minimal bleeding and no immediate pain. 2 hours later I had a half inch golf ball lump in the area, accompanied by moderate pain. The swelling has spread to an area about 1.5 X 2 inches and flattened considerably. I still have pain in the area. Two days ago my right ankle began swelling and is now about 1.7 times the size of my left ankle. There is no pain in the ankle and I have full rotational movement.
