What Causes Swelling In Calf And Ankle After Taking DMSO?

Hello, About two weeks ago I started exercising and felt pain in my calf(had this pain before but usually it goes away on its own) I applied DMSO and notice swelling in my calf and ankle. I took an anti-inflammatory it helped with the pain, but it also caused more swelling.

I really appreciate your concern, if the swelling is increased then it need to be found our for the underlying cause of this, till then better to keep the leg in elevated position may need some imaging study hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day
