General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

It is most likely a condition called bursitis which ma be caused by trauma or by any other irritation of cubital bursa, a small fat pad in elbow. At this point your should rest with elbow, apply ice, take non-steroid pain killers and elevate your arm and put elastic compress. . It should lead to symptom improvement within 12 hours. Later,if there is no improvement, it would be advisable to do X-rays and see if the fracture exists. Also, hematoma or seroma accumulation may persist and then elbow punction and fluid evacuation should be done by doctor.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Iven Romic Rommstein, General Surgeon
