What Causes Swelling In Face Along With Headaches And Pain In Ribcage?

I have had my face swell up out of nowhere four times in the past month. I have had increased headaches. My throat has been hoarse and dry frequently and I have had bouts of chest pain under my rib cage that are painful but pass fairly quickly. Any ideas?

Hello,

Facial swelling is commonly caused due to allergy, anxiety, stress, lack of adequate sleep, It may be indicative of developing heart disease. Headaches occur due to tension or migraine, dehydration, over exertion, excessive exposure to sunlight, oily food intake, indigestion, acid reflux, etc. You are suggested to take plenty of water, get rest, apply cold compress, take nutritious food in time.

Since you are having pain in the rib you should get clinically examined by a GP, get all routine tests, urinalysis, blood and imaging tests done to detect the factor causing you discomfort so that treatment can be started at the earliest. In the meantime, you can take antacids and PPIs, acetaminophen or Naproxen one SOS when pain or headache to get relief.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
