What Causes Swelling In Feet And Ankles With A History Of Benign Tumor?

I am a 45 year old fit female who takes no medicine. I recently had my check up and was great. In 2014 I was diagnosed with a benign tumor on my left ventricle. The tumor was removed and I healed successfully. In the last two weeks my ankles and feet are swollen. Is that a possible cause of something gng on with my heart!?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Swelling involving both ankles and feet can be part of venous insufficiency of lower limb vessels, disturbances of heart pumping or others. Kindly give details of other associated complains as weight gain, breathlessness on exertion, chest pain or others. A systemic evaluation of cardiac system and lower limb Doppler are best to head towards final diagnosis and manage accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
