What Causes Swelling In Feet And Fingers When On Synthroid?

I have been having swelling in my fingers if I do a lot of walking, and am now also having some swelling in my feet. For the last week, my fingers have felt swollen most of the time, and my feet have also felt tight and uncomfortable. I am hypothyroid and take synthroid, have sinus allergies, but no other medical conditions. Any ideas what could be wrong?
