What Causes Swelling In Feet And Hands After Hysterectomy?

I am 38 years old and I had a hysterectomy in February, Other than hot flashes I have been feeling good. About a month ago I started having minor swelling in my feet, hands and a little in my face. My feet are super sore especially my heels. My wedding band barely fits and some of my shoes don t fit. Is this a side effect? What do I do to stop it?

Hi there.

You could be having Plantar fascitis. Apply ice. Take pain killers. Wear soft slippers. Wear foot drop splints at night. Get tested for Hypothyroidism by testing your thyroid hormone levels.
