Hi Thanks for posting on HCM Swollen foot and ankles could be caused by many medical conditions. Some possible may include: -Heart pathologies -Kidney pathologies -Liver pathologies -Local foot/soft tissue infection -Poor venous drainage due to obstruction or venous insufficiency There are just many possible causes.I will suggest you see the Doctor for evaluation and work-ups.You will need tests a chest x ray, ECG, liver and kidney function test, urinalysis, doppler ultrasound of legs. From the results, treatment options may be discussed. In the meantime, i will advise you try the following: *Rest well *Reduce salt intake *Take a diuretic like furosemide *Elevate legs while lying. From the results of the test, more objective treatment may be prescribed by your Doctor. Hope this will help Best regards
