What Causes Swelling In Hand After Getting Stung By Wasp?

I was stung by a wasp on the backmof my hand on Sunday afternoon about 100 est. swelling and itching worsened overnight Sunday. Went to dr yesterday who prescribed methyl prednisone. Took first dosage last night (6). Woke up just now with swelling worsening. Is this normal?

It would indicate that the allergic reaction may be still evolving.

You would need to continue the course of the steroid medication. You can consider combining it with an oral antihistamine for an additive effect.
There should be some initial improvement today.
