Hello,

Swelling in the hands and feet with elevated blood pressure may be due to a condition called edema. Edema is the accumulation of fluid in the tissues, which can cause swelling, discomfort, and pain. Elevated blood pressure can cause edema, especially if it is not well controlled.

Some possible causes of your symptoms may include:
* Preeclampsia: This is a condition that can occur during pregnancy or shortly after delivery. It is characterized by high blood pressure and protein in the urine, along with swelling in the hands, feet, and face.
* Heart failure: This is a condition where the heart is not able to pump enough blood to meet the body's needs. It can cause fluid buildup in the lungs, abdomen, and extremities.
* Kidney disease: The key role of the kidneys is to regulate fluid balance in the body. If the kidneys are not functioning properly, excess fluid can accumulate in the body, leading to swelling in the hands and feet.
* Liver disease: The liver produces a protein called albumin, which helps to maintain fluid balance in the body. If the liver is damaged, it may not produce enough albumin, leading to fluid buildup in the tissues.

You must see a healthcare professional to determine the underlying cause of your symptoms and receive appropriate treatment. Treatment may involve medications to lower blood pressure, diuretics to reduce fluid buildup, or other medications depending on the underlying condition.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
