What Causes Swelling In Joints In Leg Along With Fever?

I am having joint swelling on my legs..this happens very often...sometime I have slight fever also but it does not affect my daily routine therefore i dont care about it. But i want to know why this is happening as I am having sharp pain on my heels as well
