Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had minor knee surgery seven days ago. My knee is great but my leg since surgery has been very swollen. I had an ultrasound and was told I had a tear in the calf muscle along with bleeding. Would this have occurred during surgery as I did not have a problem before I had my knee done? Should I continue to do the knee excercises?
it appears to be effusion. bleeding in calf muscle is not related to it. use kneecap and apply cold compression should take rest give rest to the part. consult orthopedic surgeon for examination and further investigation if requered. ultrasound can not give you right picture. can take MRI.
