What Causes Swelling In Knee With Fluid Retention And Pain?

Hello ,I have been doing some heavy lifting at work,after a couple of days I felt my right knee when kneeling on it was painfull & swollen with fluid just below the knee cap have been takin ibuprofen & paracetamol for 2 day but my leg below the knee has swollen and is red ,seems to be infected,the knee is hot to touch the shin ,calf is also warm do you think it requires antibiotics,I am not in pain only when you kneel thank you

Possibly it may be bursitis (small bag of collection of fluid), it wil be wise to take antibiotic also in consultation with an orthopedic doctor, it may require draining as well by needle aspiration. continue with the medicines you are taking, wear a compression elastocrepe knee support and avoid straing the knees for 5 days by avoiding weight/objects lifting, or vigrous walking etc
