What Causes Swelling In Left Feet And Ankle Caused After Injury?

I had an accident 3 weeks ago while riding motorbike and. due to it my left feet and ankle was swollen. X-ray showed no fractures but still the swelling is there ( not as bad as accident time ) and the pain is still there. My ankle and top of feet aches when I walk or stand too long. Please help me as my job requires me to use leg strength and standing as I am an aircraft refuelling technician.

Hello,

Although the bones seem to be intact, the soft tissues may still be injured. Soft tissue injury may need much time to heal. Ice and elevation helps for the first 3 days. Physiotherapy might help afterwards. If the pain and swelling is not getting significantly better then you should visit the orthopedics surgeon for reassessment.

Kind regards!
