What Causes Swelling In Left Side Of Tongue?

I bit my tongue in the same place twice. Later on today, I drank a small cup of hot tea (bad decision), now the one side of my tongue is completely swollen. What can I do (at home) to get the swelling to go down? My speech is a little impaired because of this fat tongue of mine.

Thanks for your query. I have gone through your query.
As far as the swelling over the tongue is concerned, it can be secondary inflammation due to biting over the tongue by the teeth. Nothing to be panic, it will subside in 3 days. Mean while you can take analgesic with anti inflammatory drugs like diclofena and serratiopeptidase respectively (if you are not allergic. If the swelling dies not subside in 3 days then consult a oral physician and get it evaluated. I hope I have answered your query. Take care.
