What Causes Swelling In Legs In Adults?

How do they (physician s) drain fluid from your legs? Sister lives out of state and says one leg is swelling much worse than they other and the doctor told her she was going to have to have the fluid drain from it. I have worked in the medical practice for 30 years as a practice manager and never have heard this being done.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, of course if the collection is there in the leg so this could be drained but underlying cause is matters, in certain disease this can not be possible but in case of infection and severe cellulitis this could be possible, this is surgical procedure, and methods of this may vary according to clinical condition and disease, hope this information helps, take care.
