What Causes Swelling In Legs In Elderly?

I am a women, aged 52 with few health issues, but for several days now my left leg has been quite swollen. I have made an appointment to see my physician but am curious as to what the cause could be. If you have some suggestions, I would appreciate this. Thanks, Karen

Thank you for sharing your query on Healthcaremagic, I have carefully worked through your case and I think that could be some vascular diseases because you don't have fever, pain or any skin lesions to consider some infection process, just try to limited your physical activity an elevated your leg to take a vitamins supplements would be great, your doctor after a medical exam will be able to tell you the right diagnostic. I hope that my advice has been helpful, regards and take
