What Causes Swelling In Neck Glands And Pain In Jaw?

I noticed one neck gland swollen, several months ago, but it didn t hurt. I now noticed the other side is now swollen, even larger than the first side. For about a month, I have been suffering severe jaw pain, needing to take 3 ibuprofen, two times a day. Could this be cancer?

Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
The swelling in the neck glands could be enlarged lymphnodes secondary to teeth or gum or any infection in the head and neck region. Since you are giving history of jaw pain, we can think of teeth infection. Nothing to be panic, consult a oral physician and get it evaluated. Meanwhile you can take a course of antibiotics like amoxicillin and metronidazole (if you are not allergic). You need to take a radiograph to confirm the diagnosis. Once the diagnosis is confirmed, it can be treated accordingly.
I hope my answer will help you, take care.
