What Causes Swelling In Neck Glands With Severe Pain?

hi - I am a 38 year old female and 3 weeks ago my glands in my neck swelled up. it started with one and then they all started to swell throughout my body and they hrt terribly. I also have lost alot of weight in the last 6 months but do have alot of stress being a single mom and having to work etc...I went on a 2 courses of antibiotics and had a blood test last week which showed a high white blood cell count. I went for another blood test this morning and he says it is now a normal count and the infection has gone. I am feeling a bit more energetic than i did last week but still do get more tired than usual and my glands are still very swollen and a bit itchy and sore but not nearly as sore as before. At night something swells on my right lower abdomen and gets sore and i generally feel worse at night. I thoght it may be glandlar fever but i didnt have a sore throat. If my white blood cell count is normal now will i still feel sick or should all symptoms be gone aswell?

Hello
Thank for choosing HCM
Cervical lymph node could be normal one even if it is prominent, it may be due to bacterial infection (Abscess formation ) if it is swollen and painful, it may be due to Tuberculosis (Common form of presentation) and it is very distinct in nature can be easily correlate with clinical symptoms and tests reports, if the white cell count is low then other concern tests are must like biopsy, MT test just to rule out the tuberculosis, as stated here that antibiotic course being completed but found no response then better to rule out the tuberculosis, hope this information helps.
