What Causes Swelling In The Abdomen Post Oophorectomy?

Hi. My girlfriend had an oopharectomy yesterday and had her left ovary and tube removed and also her endometriosis adhesions removed. She was mostly fine all day. This evening her upper abdomen is more swollen than it was this morning and there are trace amounts of blood in her urine. (She s menstruating) Her concern is the swelling and her feeling of fullness. She also says she s moderately dizzy. At what point should we call a doctor or go to the hospital?

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The swelling in the upper abdomen can be due to gas and distension after the operation. If there is acute pain in the abdomen then it needs an attention.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
