What Causes Swelling In The Ankle And Leg After An Injury?
I fell on my knee a month ago, been limping around, had an xray a week later, nothing on it. Then orthopedic surgeon had me do a venous Doppler for dvt because my leg was really swollen, came back negative. Today I had an mri but my ankle and leg are still really swollen, just wondering why this is still going on.

Soft tissue injury around knee takes a long time to heal and this is the cause of swelling and pain. Hot compresses will relieve your pain.
